Hami Association over the Past Year

 We believe that every child has the right to education

Your support for children in disadvantaged regions over the Iranian calendar year ending in March 2018 has meant that:

·         Five new schools were launched;

·         Six Libraries were established;

·         Ten Schools are being constructed;

·         Three libraries are being built;

·         The educational process was sustained In Dashtyari and Shargasht regions; 

·         A teachers’ seminar was held in Chahbahar delineating the educational initiatives of Hami Association;

·         Regular inspection visits were made to Hami libraries and schools;

·         At the start of the school year, some 6000 packages of writing utensils and stationary were delivered to school children in need;

·         Learning aid, laboratory and athletic items were donated to schools;

·         The Lab-in-a-Backpack packages were designed and provided to nomadic village schools;

·         The ongoing supply of donated books to Hami libraries continued;

·         The Summer Leisure Activities scheme was activated for children at Hami libraries;

·         The number of Library-in-a-Backpack packages increased to 60, extending the scheme to new regions;

·         Research aimed at expanding Hami activities continued at disadvantaged regions;

·         Four campaigns to promote the aforementioned Hami activities were successfully launched;

·         The number of Hami collection boxes and condolence stands grew;

·         Relief aid was provided to earthquake victims several times;

·         A Children’s Tent was set up for child earthquake victims;

·         A library in a converted steel container was established at an earthquake stricken location;

·         A school construction projects was launched at an earthquake stricken location; and

·         The Hami office was purchased using donor support.
